As 'root communication' is associated with the lower two chakra's and 'empathy 'is associated with the solar plexus and heart chakra's, hearing (clairaudient), speaking, smelling and tasting are directly related to the throat chakra. We will take a look at speaking and hearing first and cover smelling last. For most of us, hearing and speaking is an aspect of spiritual communication that comes later after long meditations and lots of work.
However there are a great many people who naturally hear (clairaudient) and speak freely and easily. There have been a few times when I've heard a voice so loud and clear, it sounded as it was booming out from the heavens. I like this voice because when it speaks there's no questioning it. It's full of love, knowing and authority. It has always cleared away every piece of debris in my le usually in 11 words or less and always shts me back on my path.
Being 'clairaudient' to have clear hearing is of course the easiest form of all the communications to understand.
I taught a friend of mine how to read the Tarot and he soon discovered that whenever he turned a card over he would clearly hear a word or phrase. I have heard booming voices from the sky, but only rarely, and only when my le was way off track. How cool it would be to simply turn a card and get a word or a phrase.
This spurred me on to just open up my psychic hearing and be able to communicate really well and be done with it. I started asking my guides for my hearing to be opened and even having a little gt envy of my friends hearing.
Oh I laugh now at my presumptuousness and ego! This taught me why the ancient Egyptian god, Thoth, had his Angels: to hear clearly the voice of a god was thought to cause a mortal's head to explode. Thus, the Angels, messengers from (the) god(s), could relay the message and your head would stay intact.
I'm not sure that hearing the voice of God(dess)(s) will cause your head to explode, but having clear hearing can drive you nuts. Have you ever been slightly out of earshot from a conversation? You can almost hear the gist, but it's just too low. And then you realize that it isn't in English? There have been thousands of languages on this planet alone, and when we return to soul state, we remember all that we have learned. So why would spirits talking amongst themselves be speaking English or a modern language or even a language that has been spoken by earthlings?
I used to have loads of spirit activity in my house in Vegas. One day, I was in the downstairs bathroom. On the other side of the door, in the hallway, I could barely hear a conversation. Immediately I called out who's there, thinking someone was in the house giving a tour. I soon realized it was a meeting of spirits and guides. It was frustrating, the more I listened, the less I could make out. They were right on the other side of the door. I relaxed, and it got louder, but I couldn't make out one single word. It wasn't a language I could identy. It did feel and sound like there were about 6 people talking. Then it ended as abruptly as it started. They left. The house felt empty again.
These entities talk all the time, that day they just made it a little easier for me to hear.
I strongly believe that some of my guides and healers were helping counsel a lower level entity, a ghost, to have greater understanding of what was happening in the house. When they left, there was a feeling that I used to get when I w orked in corporate le and would be on a break. The work-break would be over, and everyone got back to work. It was that sensation.
That was only one of many frustrating hearing scenarios, so think before you decided to throw yourself whole heartedly into opening up your fth chakra for spirit communicat ion. Think carefully before you start asking fo r psychic gts, just because your friend has them. After this experience, I decided that I would continue to do my psychic exercises and work, but would do so at a slow, even pace, and allow it all to unfold naturally, when I was ready.
The whole point of hearing is for communication, you can literally hear the angels speak and have no clue to what they're saying, there's no communication. Even though I could hear them I couldn 't understand their language. I had to use my clairsentients to receive the information.
Opening ones centers and building abilities is a dance between you and your guides. When you have a sincere willingness to grow, there's that dance; in the best of times you can 't tell you're being led or you're doing the leading. There's just a merging of energies for a common goal of growth. I was trying to lead the dancing, but guidance doesn't work that way. There is a time for leading and this wasn't it.
The biggest reason I wanted to be able to clearly hear was to be able to receive names. I can now on occasion hear names, but it sounds more like it's coming from inside my head rather than outside. It's more a type of hearing knowingness, knowing the name is being said in my head rather than a physical hearing of it.
One interesting thing that has come out of the hearing scenario is that I am always playing classical music or melodic new age music. The other day the music wasn't on, and I heard music very faintly. Soft melodic music, I cocked my head to one side, then to the other, listening. I looked at the stereo, it was off. I went outside, walked all the way around the house and couldn't hear it. I went back in and could hear it. Then the light bulb went off in my brain: turn on the stereo, they want to hear music.
Side note: I would often draw an Angel card before walking out the door to run errands. I had turned off the stereo I almost always got the Music card. Eventually I gave up and put in an MP3 player that would run melodic new age or classical music almost 24/7.
Truth like the word 'warm' is relative, everyone has an idea what it implies but it isn't as definitive as one thinks it is. I will define truth in this way. " you believe that people will always fail you, then people always fail you." The first part of the 'statement' is the 'truth' aspect and the second part of the statement is the validation of the truth aspect. Truth will always be validated. In other words truth is what you believe because what you believe brings about validating le experiences, or rather facts.
you want to change the validating le experiences change your statement. "I believe, when needed the right people will always appear! Then, the right people will always appear when needed." This will become your new truth and it will be validated. Your actual belief that is ingrained in your subconscious is your truth, creating and fulfilling itself. you want to change this subconscious belief, start speaking and believing a new truth in a new statement. This will make the desired change.
How does this apply to spirit communication and the 5th chakra? Your statements of your truth need to be consistent and loving to the self. Once that occurs, your 5th chakra will be easier to open, thus, allowing you to hear and speak the truth of someone else on the other side. Just as a self-defeating truth will attract self-defeating people around you in the physical realm, a self-defeating truth will attract self-defeating spirits and guidance from beyond the physical realm.
Often in readings, I would start to make a statement that I think the spirit or guide is trying to communicate and I will be corrected as it's coming out of my mouth. I will literally feel tightness in my chords, and my throat will close down. I will make some changes to the statement, and then my cords will relax. I know when I have found the right word or phrase because it feels right and often I get goose bumps.
I have yet to watch a medium that hasn't experienced the choking sensation, or the stammering around trying to find the right word. Finding the truth of the spirit that is communicating can be a timely process, filled with frustration and wonderment all at the same time. The more open the throat chakra is, the easier spoken communication; there really are no short cuts. Know your own statements of truth and your throat chakra will open like a lotus blossom on a sunny day.
It's important to do work on your self to clear out and open up the throat area and be clear about your own truths. Then, when you're doing a reading, you can let go, and the truth you're bringing forth isn't yours, you don't have to be judgmental of the message. After all, you're clear on what your truth is, then the truth from a spirit isn't going to throw you.
Many times the message from spirits isn't for you to follow. Rather it's to be used as an identier of the person who is coming through or a general statement of awareness.
A perfect example of this is shortly after my grandfather died. It was the middle of the afternoon, and I had lain down to do a self-hypnosis tape. About 30 seconds into the tape, I felt a pulling of my right leg. With my eyes closed and earphones still on my ears, I could clearly see my grandfather pulling on my right leg at the foot of the bed. I got a clear statement in the sound of his voice. He said, "You need to go after Big; you need to pursue this." I sort of kicked him away. After all, I wasn't going to take dating advice from someone I had presumed was homophobic in real le. Besides after many weird and awkward dates, Big and I hadn't been able to fit into each other's lives. I wasn't going to go through that pain again. My guides assured me that Big and I had run our course. I had enough homework from that dating scenario to last quiet a while.
Grandpa's message didn't make sense till a year later, when I talked to a cousin who said that before G randpa died, he talked about me. Grandpa said that he didn't think that being gay was a choice. The message wasn't so much about going after Big, rather it was about going after love. I think he used Big as a way of conveying he approved of me dating and pursuing romance. This let me know that he was also up to date on my current le.
It's also a perfect example of why you shouldn't literally follow advice from someone who had recently past. His literal message was bad advice but his message of support was highly welcomed.
