Talking To Spirit

Ch. 1 Being a psychic medium for spirit

Psychic ability is like swimming. Not everyone is a natural born swimmer, but everyone can learn and enjoy swimming. Mental and physical mediums, like athletes, use every aspect of their being to reach their goal. No matter where you r starting point is, you can easily nurture and grow your potential to greater and greater heights.

I'm sure your thinking, "I'm pretty intuitive and have even had some psychic experiences, but being a medium?"

you have the capacity to love, then you have the capacity to communicate to the Spirit that is inherent in all of creation. Have you ever had a really heartfelt talk with someone and there was an intimacy and trust that was really positive, maybe even le altering? When you talk to people on that very deep heartfelt level it's your spirit talking to theirs. It's spirit that connects to spirit. When spirits connect, the physicality or location doesn't matter. You may both be in the physical, but what one of you was on the other side? you can connect to someone here then you can connect to someone who has crossed. Your spirit knows no physical bounds and is only limited by your own belief.

If, in fact, we can touch each other in a spiritual way here in the physical realm. Why is the popular believe that we can't communicate with the spirit not bound by the physical world? We can clearly see and communicate with the spirit that exists in our friends and family. Yet when it comes to communicating with the spirit of those who have passed we get bogged down and lost in only things we can validate with our physical senses.

Being a medium for spirit only requires you to release your limitations and open your heart and mind to your own spirit, the spirit of those next to you, and the spirit of those who have crossed. I'm hoping this book will help you explore and expand yourself in ways beyond what you previously thought possible.

Defining spirit

The first time I heard the term Spirit, I simply thought they were exchanging the word God for Spirit. In some ways, I guess they were, but it seemed to be greater than god. The term grew on me. I kept hearing the term Spirit : from a friend who was Hawaiian, then from another who participated in Lakota Suix sweat lodges, then another and another and another. The way in which they used the term shted my original definition. I began to think that maybe they were talking about the spirit of the soul, the higher self.

I think many people are using the word Spirit to describe something that the word God doesn't and can't. Look up God in the dictionary, and it refers to a monolithic god, a supreme being. The term Spirit doesn't imply that. Spirit helps many people who believe in the ‘ divine presence of a unying energy ' have a shorter term. For some the term spirit will just replace the word god and for others it means something completely dferent. The important aspect is to find the common grounds that bring us together in light and love, and not to argue and fight over the concept of god(dess)(s) or even there is one, many or none.

While for me, it still referred to the individual spirits I would meet during readings. It also became to mean the Universal Spirit that's in all and everything. I use the term Spirit in this book to refer to many aspects of divine energy, collectively as well as individually, in the hope that it will not define or limit, rather it will allow you to have conscious expansion, self discovery and a deeper intimacy of your own essence (spirit).

From the time I was a little kid I've been trying to figure out there's one God or many. My upbringing programmed me to think one way and my personal experience taught another. Last summer this question had been plaguing me again. While shampooing my hair in the shower I clearly heard a loud resonant voice, "We are many as you are many. And we are One as you are One." Peace and serenity soon followed as did the cream rinse.
